You want to discover our beautiful region of the Loire Valley and learn French? We have thought of everything for you!

If you don’t have much time and want to do some sightseeing, this program is perfect for you.  You don’t have to worry about anything, we’ve prepared everything for you!

On mornings: you have 15 hours of French class in a closed group with a program built on your needs. You will improve your French in a cultural and practical context to help you discover the region and learn how to live the French way of life and also travel in France.

In the afternoon or evening, we will accompany you to various activities that we will have organised over a 2-week program as indicated below.

Week 1:

  • Historical tour of the city
  • Visit of “Les Halles de Tours” (regional food market) and local food tasting 
  • Wine tasting evening
  • Visit of a Loire Valley Castle on Saturday afternoon

Week 2:

  • Guided visit in the city center according to the cultural news (art, architecture, gardens)
  • Cooking class in the afternoon or in the evening 
  • Visit of a Loire Valley Castle in the afternoon
  • Diner at the restaurant (beverages not included)

Please note that this program is open to students who have at least an intermediate level of French and 4 enrollments minimum are required to open the program. Do not hesitate to convince your friends to come with you!

If there are less than 4 students enrolled, you will be able to follow our general French program called “Standard Package

  • 7 students maximum per class (minimum 4, maximum 7)
  • Minimum level required: intermediate

You have developed a passion for French wines and you want to discover the Loire vineyards? Here is a program that will suit you perfectly!

If you don’t have much time and want to devote your week to your passion for wine, this program is perfect for you.  You don’t have to worry about anything, we’ve prepared everything for you. 

On mornings: you have 15 hours of French class in a closed group with a program built on your needs. You will improve your French in a cultural context to help you discover the region, the vineyards and the vocabulary of wine.

In the afternoon or evening, we will accompany you to various activities that we will have organised over a 2-week program as indicated below.

  • Introduction to the French vineyard (1h30)
  • Wine tasting (2h30)
  • Visit of a cellar and tasting
  • Tasting in a wine bar

  • 17h30 on mornings focused on teaching French as a foreign language
  • 3 workshops of 2h30 in the afternoon
  • 7 students maximum per class (minimum 4, maximum 7)

Minimum level required: intermediate

You teach French and you want to update your skills or find new pedagogical techniques? Come follow our program for teachers.

On mornings, you will have classes on didactics in a closed group with a program built on teachers needs. The program will be structured around the prerequisites of the different levels of the CEFR through different sequences: dynamizing a class sequence based on a manual, didactizing authentic documents, developing an observation grid, carrying out class observations, etc.

On afternoons, you will have practical and useful workshops to teach French as a foreign language amongst the following: working on phonetics, using board games in class, introducing French movies, etc.

If there are less than 4 students enrolled, you will be able to follow our specific French program called “French for Use in Specific Professional Contexts

Holiday closures

CLE is closed from 1-6 January and 21-31 December.

Public holidays : April 22, May 1st, May 30, June 10, August 15, November 1st an November 11.

Minimum level

Beginner level students will start their courses on January 7, April 1st, July 1st or September 30. For help determining your ability level, please contact us.

All class materials are included in the cost of tuition. Registration fees : 60 €

Please note: 1 lesson = 45 min, thus 20 hours = 26 lessons and 23 hours = 30 lessons.
