Do you want to learn French in France and still have some time to explore the region? This is the program you are looking for!

Each week, you’ll have 20 hours of general French in mini-groups of up to 7 (average of 5). Focus is put on oral communication. You’ll have the opportunity to quickly improve thanks to the small class sizes. You won’t feel the pressure of large group classes; the intimacy of each group encourages participation at your own scale.

The mornings are class with the assigned teacher to your group level. You’ll use a provided textbook to work on oral communication and written French structure. During the afternoons you’ll attend several workshops that will offer another opportunity to practice your oral French in different contexts. Some examples include: listening and discussing current events and news headlines, speech, debate and discourse, phonetic exercises, exploring French culture through discussion and exploring the city’s history and uniqueness by foot.

You can choose this program with a 2-week minimum and may start any Monday that suits you best, unless you are a beginner or brand new to French.

Please note that if your level is elementary or less, you must start on these specific dates: January 7, April 1st, July 1st or September 30.

In addition to the class description above, you’ll have private lessons with a professor who will prepare a program according to your needs and struggles with the language. Private lessons are aimed at taking the time to work on your personal difficulties and dedicate some extra-time to oral skills.

You can choose this program for 1 week minimum and may start any Monday that suits you best if you are not a beginner.

Please note that if your level is elementary or less than elementary, you must start on these specific dates: January 7, April 1st, July 1st or September 30.

Additionally, you’ll have private lessons each week, with a teacher that will prepare you for the DELF/DALF exams. You will work on all required skills of the exam, have a personalized training in your weaknesses, and attain advice on passing the exam. You will be tested on real samples of the DELF/DALF exams, preparing you even more. Everything is made for you to find the solutions to your specific troubles, elaborate on strategies for the exam and leave France on a successful note.

All our teachers have a DELF/DALF Examiner-Corrector’s license, so they are fully-equipped to perfectly prepare your success.

Do you have 3 months or more to learn French? Our long stay program is great for deep immersion learning!

Each week, you’ll have 20 hours of general French in mini-groups of up to 7 (average of 5). Focus is put on oral communication. You’ll have the opportunity to quickly improve thanks to the small class sizes. You won’t feel the pressure of large group classes; the intimacy of each group encourages participation at your own scale.

The mornings are class with the assigned teacher to your group level. You’ll use a provided textbook to work on oral communication and written French structure. During the afternoons you’ll attend several workshops that will offer another opportunity to practice your oral French in different contexts. Some examples include: listening and discussing current events and news headlines, speech, debate and discourse, phonetic exercises, exploring French culture through discussion and exploring the city’s history and uniqueness by foot.

Each week, you can choose from 15, 20 or 25 hours of private lessons with one or several teachers who will help you following a totally personalized program aimed at starting or improving your French language capacity. Usually, students who choose this program stay 1 week to 4 weeks max, but your stay can be extended if desired.

With this particular program you’ll work with a teacher who builds a program according to your needs and goals. Practical French, language structure, discovering the region, preparing a tour, French history or literature; anything is possible!

15 hours: Perfect for students who want to work on French and still have afternoons off to enjoy various activities and visits in the region.

20 hours: If you’re on a short timeline, this is intensive course is ideal. It is well-suited for students who want to prioritize their French studies but keep some time off for the afternoons. With this program you’ll be focused on learning with some extra time to utilize what you’d learned in the area.

25 hours: Are you incredibly limited on time, and have many goals to reach in a short period of time? The intensive 25 hours per week program may be for you. We welcome students for this course but be careful; 25 hours of private lessons is a serious load of work. It can be very tiring and leaves little free time during your stay. We recommend you choose this program for 2 weeks maximum.

Holiday closures

CLE is closed from 1-6 January and 21-31 December.

Public holidays : April 22, May 1st, May 30, June 10, August 15, November 1st an November 11.

Minimum level

Beginner level students will start their courses on January 7, April 1st, July 1st or September 30. For help determining your ability level, please contact us.

All class materials are included in the cost of tuition. Registration fees: €60.

Please note: 1 lesson = 45 minutes, thus 20 hours = 26 lessons and 23 hours = 30 lessons.
