Your first day at CLE
Upon your arrival at CLE, you will receive a “Student Guide” containing information about your studies at CLE, your stay in Tours and the activity program at the school. One of our teachers will take you on a guided visit of the school premises, showing you study aids that are available to you and what you could do in your spare time. If you give us a picture of yourself, you will receive a student card enabling you to benefit from various reductions in bookshops, museums, cinemas, etc.
Following that, you will take a test, lasting about 2 hours (testing your written and spoken French) to allow us to make a serious evaluation of your knowledge and place you in a small group class at the correct level for you. We will take time to discuss together your motivation, expectations and special interests. If you have never studied French or are a beginner, the test will only take a short time and we can start your first lesson immediately.
Then we will spend about 30 minutes showing you the area of the city adjacent to the school with its monuments and historical restorations.
