Cultural and Social Activities with CLE
Our programed activities include visits in and outside of the city: museums, monuments, aperitifs (apéro) at local bars and cafés, exploring traditional Tours “guinguettes” (traditional open-air bar along the Loire River), restaurant outings, and even bike rides and canoe trips. These activities evolve according to the desires of the students, the weather, and cultural news or events. One or two activities are offered each week, with more activities from June to September – perfect for students that want to combine studies and holidays.
Students Organized Activities
You’ll be staying in a region listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Site for its plethora of castles, enjoy it! With student organized events and activities, we provide you with “touristing” tips for visiting the Loire Valley at your own pace and with complete independence. Most importantly, many of the most famous castles in France – such as Chenonceau, Azay-le-Rideau, Amboise, Chinon or Blois – are accessible by train, bicycle or a combination of the two!
Every week, we give you one or two suggestions for weekend activities. We prepare flyers with all necessary information so that you can organize with other students and find the lowest cost and convenient solutions possible. With each suggested activity, you have the option of joining, or traveling solo, if you prefer the solitude.
